This afternoon I stumbled on to Will Roman’s blog. I am so glad I did. I read one of his blog posts talking about “falling whistles”. Incredible. Many of us have heard of the kids in Northern Uganda being forced to fight as soldiers. I myself have been to events held by Invisible Children. But this is a story I have never heard. This took it a step to far. I want you all to not only read this post, but check the link he puts in the last paragraph. If there is any time for something in our world to be done, it’s now.
Many people in our country question the idea of war. Now, I don’t want to debate on if war is something that benefits people in the end or not. I want to say that as a free nation we should stand up and end what is going on in Uganda. It’s time. I fully believe that something has to be done to end this ongoing process of killing, rape, murder and abuse in other countries. We as one nation, should stand up to other nations. Does this mean the government should do it? NO! This means you! the government does not make up our nation, WE do. and it’s time as a nation WE stand up against other nations. This is something that has got to stop, and I pray that none of us will be in peace until it does.
